VisitsItaly.com is rapidly becoming one of the most comprehensive sources for English-speaking people traveling in Italy.

As you will see from the home page, we haven't completed even basic information for many of Italy's 20 "Regiones".  That's where you come in.  We need your contributions so travelers to Italy can rely on VisitsItaly.com to show them the most interesting, most beautiful and most memorable places in the country. 

In due course, VisitsItaly.com will  publish specialty guide books and other publications.  If your work is accepted here, we will look forward to working with you in the future too.

To get an idea of what we're looking for, read the Abruzzo or Marche regional sections, where VisitsItaly.com got it's start.

Here are our guidelines for submission:

• Articles should be no longer than 500 to 750 words.  Short, pithy articles will be given special consideration by your very busy editor.
  
  
• Venice, Rome, Florence, Pisa and Milan etc are covered in every  guide book and website about Italy.  So, write about these and other well known places if you like, but why not focus your talents and time  somewhere off the well-trodden tourist paths?
  
  
• We "mark" for spelling errors, syntax and grammar. Please try to submit copy your favorite high school English teacher would be  proud of.
  
  
• Pleaaase...avoid the first person narrative. We want the story to have your  personal touch...and your passion for Italy...but try  to detach a little for the greater good.  So, no "I did this" or "I felt that...", or you won't do this and you will feel the editor's wrath.
  
  
• Articles about towns or other specific destinations should include "how to get there" directions for travelers using cars, planes, buses or trains.  Don't forget to tell us the name of the  Region your destination is in...unless it is the region itself you are writing about (in which case, we will assume Italy as the larger context.)
  
  
• If possible send appropriate photos with your articles. Digital pix are preferred.  Naked bodies on white sandy beaches will be scrutinized with extreme care.
  
  
• Don't forget to tell us your contact information: name, email address, and your street address where we can send checks to those whose work is selected.  If you'd like to write for FREE, it can be arranged.

We'll get back to you as soon as possible, but we have a lot of writers submitting material every week, so please allow at least 14 days.
