Borgo Fonterutoli is located 5 km south of the busy Chianti town of Castellina in Chianti, on the hills facing the immensely beautifully Val d'Elsa in the heart of the Chianti Classico. Owned by the Mazzei family since 1435, it still retains its original form, that of a tranquil country village: a cluster of houses, the church of San Miniato and the villa, built at the end of the 1500s where the medieval castle once stood.
On the main square next to the ancient church is the family villa, surrounded by the charming and luxurious village apartments and B&B suites managed as Luxury B&B that can be rented individually or as a single unit. Close at hand guests will find a beautifully designed enoteca where they can purchase the estate wines and a variety of "Mazzei" lavender products.

Luxury, air-conditioned and - in cooler seasons - centrally heated B&B accommodations are available for from 2 to 10 people. Breakfast, specially prepared from fresh local produce and food, is served in the large kitchens adjacent to the B&B suites. The Borgo also features 5 self-catering well-appointed apartments, each with its own unique atmosphere. Beautifully furnished and offering stunning views of the Borgo and the surrounding countryside, these apartments are recommended for longer stays (minimum 3 days).
