Hotel Grand'Italia is an elegant four-star hotel pleasantly located in Padua's historic heart, between the Railway Station Square and the city's main thoroughfare. Originally built by the architect Miozzo in 1909, the building is a fine example of early 20th-century Art Nouveau and is full of attractive period detail such as wrought-iron balconies, pretty floral decorations and wistful stone figures. This Italian hotel has been recently restored to its original splendour by the present owners and now offers sumptuous four-star accommodation in a glorious historic setting.
Guests are greeted by a wonderful reception hall embellished with gorgeous gilded friezes and spectacular marble detailing. There are 61 spacious, airy rooms, each fully air-conditioned and soundproofed for maximum comfort. Every room is equipped with satellite television, VCR, minibar, direct-dial telephone with answering machine and internet connection point. All rooms have their own modern, well-appointed bathroom, and children's cots and high chairs are available on request. All rooms are accessible either by lift or by ground-floor access.
This Padua hotel has a lovely restaurant serving a menu of typical Venetian specialities. The bar offers an extensive choice of drinks in a relaxing setting.
