Directions:
- By plane: From Venice's "Marco Polo" airport you have two choices for getting to the Hotel Arcadia:
- a private water taxi will bring you to just a few meters from the Hotel.
- the "Venezia Air Terminal" bus will bring you to Piazzale Roma in 20 minutes. From there you must take the water bus numbers 1 or 82 and get off at the San Marcuola stop. Cross the alley opposite you and once you are in Rio Terrà della Chiesa, turn into Rio Terrà Cristo (in front of you on the left) and carry straight on until you reach Rio Terrà San Leonardo. Turn left and carry on until you reach number 1333 (on the right-hand side) where you will find the Hotel Arcadia. Alternatively, when you get to Piazzale Roma, you can take a motor-boat number 52 or 42 and get off at the Guglie stop. From the landing pier turn right and follow the foundations as far as the bridge. Turn left into Rio Terrà San Leonardo: at number 1333, on your left, you will find the Hotel Arcadia.
- By car: You can park your car at the Tronchetto and take the water bus no. 82, or you can take number 82 or number 1 from Piazzale Roma. In both cases get off at the San Marcuola stop, cross the alley opposite you and once you are in Rio Terrà della Chiesa turn into Rio Terrà Cristo (in front of you on the left) and carry on until you arrive at Rio Terrà San Leonardo. Turn left and carry on until you reach number 1333 where you will find the Hotel Arcadia. Location
Hotel is located close to the Guglie Bridge, 2 minutes walk from the Jewish Ghetto, 5 minutes walk from the train station and 5 minutes by boat line 82 or 10 minutes by boat line 1 to Rialto Bridge. The area is quite lively and genuine with the day to day life of the Venetian. Here you can wander around the typical local markets and all the traditional shops. There are also many bars and restaurants and the charming Casino of Venice is only a few minutes away. Nearest boat stops: San Marcuola or Al Ponte delle Guglie.
Rooms
The rooms vary in size, they are quite spacious and luminous, with traditional style dark wooden furnishings and a typical ancient green colour scheme used for the fabrics making the whole environment look elegant and relaxing.
Restaurant
The breakfast room is located on the second floor and it overlooks the Strada Nova. It is furnished in a traditional style, with original bare beams and stuccos, and Venetian marble floor. Murano glass wall lights are tastefully placed to create a Venetian atmosphere.
Exterior
Ancient palace dated back to 1600, converted into a hotel in 1950. The palace overlooks, with its large windows, the lively and colourful Rio Tera' San Leonardo
Lobby
Lobby is on the first floor, it is small and there is only a reception desk for the check - in/out procedures and to support the clients in any need. The beauty is on the second floor where a large and stunning, typical Venetian XVIII century lounge opens up. The luminous lounge is furnished in a traditional style, with an original Venetian marble floor, bare beams and an impressive Murano chandelier. Antique original stuccos can still be admired.
