Located a few steps away from the Arena and surrounded by the historical buildings of ancient Verona, the Hotel Colomba d’Oro lives in the refined atmosphere created by its precious furniture combined with the most modern and functional facilities, in accordance with taste and accuracy of detail.

The building dates back to the medieval period: originally it was the convent of a religious order of friars, it was changed into a hotel at the beginning of the nineteenth century.

The entrance hall is completely decorated with tromp d’oeil frescoes according to the fifteenth-century fashion.
The 2 suites, the 8 junior-suites and the remaining 39 bedrooms, which have given hospitality to several famous artists, literates and statesmen, are very elegant and provided with all comforts: direct telephone, air conditioning, minibar and satellite television. On the second floor our clients may rest on original painted beds from the nineteenth century. The bathrooms, completely covered with marble, are provided with towel-warmer, toilet set and hair-dryer.

The building includes well-equipped conference room, for 15 to 60 people, also available for meetings and refreshments. Guests may leave their car both in the hotel private parking lot and in the next garage.

Still today, in the breakfast room, it is possible to admire the ancient walls with tuff stones at sight, an arch from the sixteenth century and wooden beams.
