Many people who have experienced this tour of Rome have often have recalled their experience as second to none over the course of their stay in Italy.  In Rome, for couples or groups of friends, this is a tour that will leave you with a lasting impression of one of the world's most famous and important cities.  Of all the tours in Italy that you can do, this tour in particular offers exceptional value for money and is fondly remembered by all who participate.

On the day of the tour, our local guides will pick you up at your hotel or your cruise ship as per your specification.  After our initial introductions our tour begins, depending where we are in the city we will commence.  Over the course of the day we visit a great deal of what the city has to offer that is not listed in guide books, although we will see our fair share of famous monuments too, including (just to name a few):

Piazza Barberini with the Triton Fountain by Bernini,  Piazza Venezia with the Victor Emanuel monument, the Via dei Fori Imperiali, the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, the Palatine, the Temple of Vesta, the Theatre of Marcello, the Capitol, Tiberine Island, the Synagogue, Castel St. Angelo, and St. Peter's Square and Basilica.

During this panoramic visit of the city your guide will also take you to visit the famous Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona. Then we continue to a specially chosen restaurant where at approximately 12:30 hours you will have an Italian lunch in a traditional Roman Trattoria or a more up-scale restaurant if you prefer.  We never include the cost of lunch in the cost of our tours as we are never able to determine how hungry you may be.

After lunch, we continue to view some of Rome’s ancient monuments, historical centres – like the Spanish Steps and cultured neighbourhoods like Trastervere, passing by the Vatican and stopping to admire this incredible centre of the Christian world.

There are numerous opporunities for photos and  major points of interest in and around the city, like the catacombs and La Bocca Della Verita – the famous statue shown in Roman Holiday with Audry Hepburn.  This is an all-encompassing tour, with an expert local guide who is fluent in the English language.
