Trullo Solari is a newly renovated luxury property that can accommodate up to 8 people in great comfort, set in five acres of peaceful countryside, just 2km from Ceglie Messapica in Puglia, Southern Italy.  Come and enjoy the  sunshine, friendly people and delicious food, and find out why more and more people are recommending Puglia to their friends.

Just 30 minutes from Brindisi or an hour from Bari, Trullo Solari is easily reached by Ryanair flights from London Stansted as well as regular connections from Rome and Milan.

Trullo Solari is a 300 year old building, with the traditional "trullo" cones of this region of Puglia.  Two of the integrated "lamie" still have their original barrel vaulted ceilings.  The house has just been redeveloped.  The original features have been respectfully updated, yet the renovation has used progressive design to open the space within the building to enable maximum comfort.

This restoration project has recently been completed, creating a spacious, luxury accommodation.

The property has been designed to be beautiful, comfortable and environmentally friendly.  Solar power is used for hot water and heating the house, and waste water is re-used (please use the organic bodycare products provided).  In cooler months, underfloor heating and the woodburning stove will keep you warm.  The trullo’s traditional thick walls and high ceilings keep it cool in summer.

The surrounding grounds are maintained organically.

The Grounds
Set in over five acres, Trullo Solari provides the space and tranquillity for real relaxation.  Amongst the 150 olive trees are many almonds, walnuts, fig, cherries, apple, peach and mulberry trees, providing a garden banquet that guests can feast on.  Produce from the land, including olive oil, is provided for your enjoyment at the property, and available to take home.

The Pool
The swimming pool is 5m by 10m and conveniently situated close to the house, surrounded by terraces for sun loungers.  There is a shallow area for youngsters and paddling.

The Front Terrace
At the front of the house is a large dining table under a shady gazebo.  Nearby is the outside kitchen, including barbeque (grill), pizza oven, sink and food preparation area.

The roof terrace
A large roof terrace is available to enjoy the landscape from a new perspective.  Comfortably furnished, it’s the perfect place for sundowners or digestifs.

The kitchen
The kitchen inside is equipped to the standard that you would expect from this impressive property.

The dining room
We expect that you will dine outside most of the time, but if the weather turns, or you fancy a change, the intimate dining room under the high trullo dome will delight you.

The living room

The living room provides ample space for everyone to relax.  Enjoy the sound system or a film together.  There's even a wii computer game if the kids need entertaining.  Eight metres of french windows provide ambient light, and beautiful views to the pool and beyond.  A wood burning stove will warm the spirits in the cooler months.

The bedrooms
There are two double bedrooms and two which can be configured as doubles or twins.  Each bedroom is accessed from the house, but also has its own door to the garden.  They all have their own shower room.

General
The restoration project has been designed and managed by Daniele Corsaro, a local architect reknowned for producing stylish properties which are respectful of their history and tradition.
