Until the XIX century, “Palazzo De Tomasi” has belonged to a noble family, the De Tomasi family, that originally came from Siena and moved to “Regno di Napoli” (Kingdom of Naples) under Alfonzo D’Aragona.
Above its main portal, there is the De Tomasi coat of arms; the palace covers most of the block up to “curte S. Oronzo”. A famous notary-writer who lived in the XIX century used to say that the palace had as many rooms as the days in a year, to underline its wideness and vastness.
Nowadays, a wing of the building belongs to Caracciolo family, who decided to create a special magic “B&B” in some of its rooms. Breakfast is served in an ancient dining room where guests may enjoy a beautiful view on the sea while eating homemade cakes, cookies, jams and other typical specialties prepared by Lady Marilena, the owner.
