The Hotel Trullidea is one of the most unique "hotels" in the world. To begin with, it is located in Alberobello, a town that UNESCO has declared a World Heritage Site because of the unique Trulli architecture that comprises the oldest part of the town and that is also found throughout the area. Alberobello itself is blessed with olive groves, vineyards and terraces that offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape, and the people of the town are friendly, gregarious and immensely helpful. Secondly, although there is a main hotel building located in a 15th century villa, the 25 hotel suites are located throughout the historical center of the city, and in a number of beautiful garden estates on Alberobello's outskirts. These comfortable, tastefully furnished suites have all the modern amenities that travelers enjoy, but retain their original rustic charm.
The suites are either one, two or three bedroom, so guests can chose accommodation for 2 to 6 people. Some of the "out of town" suites feature fireplaces and small gardens. Some suites are "self-catering" and are equipped with small kitchenettes and lounges.
