The Borgo di Lanciano is a beautiful 4 star hotel sitting in a large, verdant park located near to the ancient town of Castelraimondo in Le Marche. The Borgo is a complete renovation of a much dilapidated medieval village that evolved around the precincts of Lanciano Castle, still standing and an easy walk through the woods. The ancient buildings on this expansive estate have been marvelously restored into a complex of considerably charm evoking an ancient and stately atmosphere . The rooms, dining facilities, lounges, and spa that comprise the Borgo are, however, completely modern, and the amenities and services available to guests are top notch. Borgo di Lanciano disposes of 40 air conditioned rooms and 9 suites, with different suggestive views on Lanciano Castle , the impressive Sibillini Mounts or the mild hills of the Region Marche. All rooms are very well furnished and appointed; the views from each offering a pleasant and sometimes awesome vista. Guests can enjoy superb meals in the Borgo's restaurant, I Due Angeli, or eat in liesure on one of the terraces. There is a comfortable American style bar, and a number of quiet lounges for conversation and reading. Borgo di Lanciano is located in a privileged area from where it is possible to reach many places of great naturalistic, historical, cultural, artistic and gastronomic importance in the Region Marche and surrounding Regions. Some of the interesting places close by are Urbisaglia or Ursb Salvia - a famous roman village – San Ginesio, Montecassiano and also Macerata, famous for its lyric season held in the beautiful frame of the Teatro di Spheristerion. Ancona, and the beaches of Riviera del Conero are an easy drive, and Perugia, capital city of Umbria, as well as other Umbrian cities, like Gubbio are within striking distance.
