Set in its own private park, complete with delightful woodland pathways, this elegant country villa is superbly located for exploring the very best of the Italian Lake District: Lake Como, Varese and Maggiore. The graciousness of this stunning house is enhanced by a large furnished terrace, illuminated at night, which looks out admiringly over the fairytale woodland that is the park. Once inside, the classically furnished airy rooms are spacious and grandiose. Yet in winter, especially at Christmas, they become cosy and inviting thanks to the preponderance of carpets, rugs and the sitting room’s open fireplace.

Location
Only 3kms from the Swiss border, the market town of Viggiu is a ten minute walk away and offers a variety of shops, banks, restaurants etc. For golfers, nearby is the Golf Club Varese, a spectacular 18 hole course with views of Mount Rosa and Lakes Maggiore and Varese. Entry to the villa is through electric gates into the spacious parking area. Accessed separately, a part of the ground floor may sometimes be occupied by the owner.

Layout
The front door opens into a large hallway with staircase. Off to the right is the very spacious sitting room with fireplace, windows on three sides and balcony access. On the left of the hallway is a dining room and a recently refurbished well-equipped kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Steps down from the hall lead to the ground floor and a refurbished bathroom with bath, WC etc. The centrepiece of the carpeted first floor is a beautifully furnished and spacious landing. Off to the left is a double bedded room with its own large balcony. Next door is a double or twin bedded room. Back over the landing to the right is a large bathroom with bath and shower cabinet, WC etc and balcony access. Then another double or twin bedded room with its own balcony.
