Here at “SILVIO’s”, Bedrooms face a unique
landscape, where nature, art and culture are
combined. From the terrace of your bedroom
or from your table in the restaurant your eye
will take in beautiful Villa Melzi, its park
crowded with azalea trees ; the ancient
fishermen’s hamlet of Loppia with its harbour,
where Giulia and Rosina, big XIX century boats
are docked; the X century church Santa Maria
witnessing Romanesque art on Lake Como; Villa
Gerli and the enchanting Tremezzina, the west
shore of the lake.
Each of the 21 comfortably equipped rooms offers
an en suite bathroom with shower; private
telephone; satellite TV set; hair dryer; safe;
air fan and heater. “Mansarda” level rooms are
also air conditioned. At the disposal of each
Guest, there is also Sun Terrace; open air, free
Parking; Garage.
The landscape is breathtaking here: from
“SILVIO’s” porch, you’ll feel like you are in
the middle of a romantic painting, gazing at
Lake Como with its beautiful ancient Villas;
“Villa Carlotta”, on the other side of the Lake;
“Villa Melzi” and its famous azalea garden right
below; “Villa Gerli”, on the left side with the
beautiful Romanesque church of “Santa Maria di
Loppia” which dates of the XI century.
At “SILVIO’s” Lake fish is king: Silvio and
Cristian Ponzini, professional fishermen on Lake
Como, guarantee a daily selection of the
freshest fish. Also pasta is home made: among
others, our Chef Davide prepares wonderful big,
square ravioli filling of lake fish, served in a
butter and sage sauce and covered with parmesan
cheese and a few leaves of fresh sage;
Fettuccine and Pappardelle with a delicate fish
ragout; Rice and fillet of perch, a traditional
Lake dish; all wheat Gnocchi with a sauce of
pike and lake trout… and a wonderful Tiramisù.
