This is a unique place to stay in the Cinque Terre - the furthest thing from a tourist hotel you can imagine. It sits high above the Tyrrhenian in the Parco Nazionale di Cinque Terre, with commanding views of the sea, with the Island of Corsica visible on a clear day. The town of Riomaggiore - one of the villages of the "5 Lands" is about 4 kilometers away. It is impossible to research this place by car, so you have to leave it at the parking along the nearby provincial road, the Strada Litoranea, and walk into the Borgo. Fit folk and especially hikers will enjoy the location which offers access to a myriad of trails in the National Park.
At the beginning of its history, Borgo di Campi was one of the five “Coste” (toghether with Ginestra, Castello, Montenero and Cerra) in Riomaggiore’s territory. Here, among terraces set by stone walls, the growers of the famous local vineyards lived and toiled. Nowadays the village and the dry-walled houses along the two existing paths have been completely restored, mantaining the original structure and colours.
Every apartment is simple, almost rustic, but furnished in the local style and comfortable. Each apartment features an full-equipped kitchen with refrigerator and sink, private bathroom, telephone and TV. Most of the units have a private furnished garden or terrace.
