The Hotel Poseidon was built in 1950 by the Aonzo family as their summer residence. In 1955, they enlarged it and turned it into a hotel; its terraced gardens and panoramic views lure new visitors every year. It's charming, discreet, and elegant, with antique furniture and objects. The Aonzo family still owns and operates the hotel, lending personal service, luxury, and style to each spacious guest room.The Romantik Hotel Poseidon appears as a beautiful villa surrounded by luscious greenery in a pleasant garden. The philosophy of the hotel is to offer a discreet and refined hospitality, non-commercial and in harmony with the image and tradition of Positano.
T he charming, pristine bedrooms, decorated with rustic furniture, have balconies overlooking the village. The spacious, comfortable living room and bar, are nearby to the sunbathing terrace and swimming pool. The decor and atmosphere of the indoor dining area are in total harmony with the rest of the hotel.
Taking into consideration the history, the location (south-east) and the hotel structure due to Positano’s vertical shape, the 51 rooms, furnished in a Mediterranean style with all the necessary comforts, are all of different size:
The Superior rooms, Junior suites and Suites have a private terrace or balcony with a side sea view.
The Standard rooms have a private terrace or balcony overlooking the garden or the village.
In the warmer months the restaurant service takes place on a vast terrace covered with vines. There is a wide varied menu, including fresh fish specialities and the best Italian wines are available. The Laura Elos Beauty Centre offers a full range of body treatments, facials, massages, Turkish bath and complete Fitness programme.
