The Hotel Capo Casale is a converted monastery
on the slopes overlooking the red rooves of the
houses that form the medieval village of
Maratea, with views of the sparkling waters of
the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The restoration work has preserved the old
features, including oak beams and doors, but
with modern amenities that make for a very
comfortable stay. There are many stairs at
this hotel, so it is not suitable for the
handicapped or elderly.
The hotel is difficult to find, but the Hotel
owners, who speak very good English, can arrange
to meet you in Maratea and guide you to their
establishment.
